Maruti Announces Country-Wide, Free, Week-long Monsoon Check Up Camp for Customers

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has announced a country-wide, week-long, free ‘Monsoon Fit Checkup Camp’ for its customers to help them tackle rains more effectively.

Maruti was established in 1982 in Gurgaon, Haryana, and the launch of the first Maruti Suzuki 800 began a whole new chapter in the Indian automobile industry.

“We set out with an obsession for customer delight, one that was unheard in the corridors of automobile manufacturers then. It was about a commitment to create value through innovation, quality, creativity, partnerships, openness and learning. It created a road that was going to lead the world in to a whole new direction, laid out by Maruti Suzuki,” says the company on its website.

Today, Maruti Suzuki alone makes 1.5 million Maruti Suzuki family cars in one single year.

According to auto experts, there is a rise in customer’s service requirements during rainy season, which makes it essential for automakers to help their customers take precautions during monsoon period in India.

According to the company, the ‘Monsoon Fit Checkup Camp’ will offer checking of 17 critical points – including inspection of vital parts of the vehicle as well as inspection of components like wiper motor, wiper blade, mud flaps, and brake pads – to ensure that customers are able to enjoy safe and problem-free monsoon driving. The performance of the car will also be checked at this camp.

The complimentary camp will be held across Maruti’s 1,714 dealer workshops in 1,516 cities across the country.

The service camp starts 24th June and will run for next one week till 30th of this month.

“Customer’s service requirements reach a peak during monsoon season thus making it essential to help them to take precautions. This complimentary monsoon fit check-up camp will help customers to have safe and convenient drive in their cars during monsoon. We hope our customers make the most of this initiative,” Pankaj Narula, Executive Director – Service, MSIL, said.

Customers will also be told techniques to prevent hydro locking and disadvantages of driving through water logged areas. The customers can also purchase genuine parts and accessories at this camp. They will also be offered value added services, such as maintenance cost protect, extended warranty, insurance, True Value evaluation, Maruti Care app registration, etc.
