Asus Unveils ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Ultra in Taipei

Asus has unveiled three models of the ZenFone 3 series – ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Ultra – which were displayed at Zenvolution event on Monday at the Humble House in Taipei. All three models differ from each other in size and specifications.

All variants sport a metal design, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and hybrid dual-SIM slots. The fingerprint support has been embedded on the back of these phones. The rear camera offers electronic image stabilization and optical image stabilization features for better handheld photography.

The base model Asus ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) will cost $249 (about INR 16,800). It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, and boasts a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super IPS LCD display. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the phone from the front and back. The phone also features 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB inbuilt storage (4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is also available). The phone is available in Gold, Blue, Black, and White color options. The rear 16-megapixel camera comes with Sony IMX298 sensor. Other features of this phone include a 3000mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Cat 6 LTE, and USB 2.0 Type-C connector.

Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe model (ZS570KL) features a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super Amoled display, and a full metal body with an invisible antenna design. The phone also boasts Snapdragon 820 SoC, 6 GB RAM, 64 GB inbuilt storage. A microSD card offers storage expansion up to 256 GB. The 23-megapixel rear camera comes with Sony IMX318 sensor offering 4K video support. Other features include 3000 mAh battery, connectivity options like WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Cat 6 LTE, and USB 3.0 Type-C connector. This phone is priced at $499 (about INR 33,600), and is available in Gold, Silver, and Grey color options.

The large Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) features a Snapdragon 625 SoC with 4 GB of RAM, inbuilt storage of 64 GB (expandable up to 126 GB via microSD card. The phone sports a 6.8-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display. The 23-megapixel rear camera is equipped with Sony IMX318 sensor. Other features of the phone include a 4600mAh battery with Quick Charge technology, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Cat 6 LTE, and USB 3.0 Type-C connector. The phone is priced at $479 (about Rs 32,200), and will be available in Grey, Silver, and Pink color options.

All these phones are expected to hit the market in the third quarter of this year.
