Road Safety Team Reveals Locations for Mobile Speed Cameras in Derbyshire

The Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) in Derbyshire has revealed the locations where mobile speed cameras will be in force this week in Derbyshire.

The CREST Team is part of the Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership.

According to CREST, their team installed the first cameras in 1994.

“Since then have grown technologically and diversified to meet the publics need.  We are the enforcement arm of the Derby and Derbyshire Safer Roads Partnership (DDRSP) and also contribute to the operations that Derbyshire Constabulary perform,” the website of CREAST says.

“Many of us have worked here together for years and take pride in the fact that we are actively trying to reduce the amount of people killed and seriously injured on Derbyshire’s roads.”

According to the team, the main aim of mobile speed cameras is to keep motorists driving at the correct speed. The list is subject to change and the locations of the devices can be changed in case a situation outside of the team’s control arises.
