Vivo V5 Plus with Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor Launching Today in India

 

Vivo is going to officially launch its V5 Plus smartphone in India today. A launch event has been scheduled for 12 pm IST in New Delhi, and according to some reports, the phone is expected to be priced at Rs 27,980.

Vivo V5 Plus was unveiled globally last week alongside the Vivo V5 Lite.

Vivo V5 Plus is powered by an octa-core 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. The device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is equipped with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD.

The main highlight of Vivo V5 Plus is its cameras. The front camera has a dual lens system, with a 20 MP lens (Sony’s IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 5 P lens system) and 8 MP lens (to capture depth-of-field information). This camera system allows a bokeh style mode to capture portrait pictures. The rear 16 MP camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, and phase detection auto-focus.

The phone runs Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of Android Marshmallow.  The phone weighs 158 g, with dimensions 152.6 x 74 x 7.3 mm. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The battery of Vivo V5 is of 3160 mAh that supports fast charging.  The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner embedded right into the home button. The listing of V5 Plus on Vivo’s website suggests that it will be made available in Gold color option only.

Earlier, Vivo V5 smartphone was launched at a price of Rs 17,980 in India. This phone features a 1.5 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6750 processor, 5.5-inch HD display, a 20 MP front camera, 13 MP rear camera, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB). The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and has a 3,000 mAh battery.
