Microsoft’s Cloud Service Dynamics 365 to Arrive in India on November 1, 2016

Microsoft has announced that its cloud service Dynamics 365 will be available in India from November 1 onwards.

Microsoft’ cloud service combines the existing Dynamics CRM and ERP products to provide end to end business services. Dynamics 365 is expected to come with better intelligence capabilities (advanced analytics and machine learning) and a variety of applications to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) and enterprises in India. With Dynamics 365, it will possible to address specific business needs such as automation, sales, customer service, and operations, among others.

Two editions of Dynamics 365 will be available to customers—Enterprise and Business—with support for over 40 languages. The service will be available on a subscription per app/per user model. With app-based subscription, businesses will pay only for the app required, licensed to a particular user.

Dynamics 365 is a collection of applications which makes it so easy to handle processes of both front and back offices. According to Microsoft, the advanced intelligence capabilities of Dynamics 365 can help companies improve executive of their manufacturing and supply chain. Dynamics 365 can also improve efficiency of field service operations, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and sell more effectively. Dynamics 365 offers features and functions in a single code base which incorporates AI features. Dynamics 365 functions with Microsoft Azure cloud.

“For instance, customer service representatives would be more productive with access to data and capabilities from the field service, customer service and sales apps,” Takeshi Numoto, Vice President at Cloud and Enterprise, Microsoft, said in a blog.

“With traditional app-based subscriptions this would require three separate subscriptions for each customer service representative; however, using our new plans customers gets one holistic subscription to have all the information at their fingertips, and customers could save four to five times the cost of traditional CRM providers.”

Dynamics 365 is expected to face competition from Salesforce products like Field Service Lightning, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud. Salesforce is already tying to make these products smarter by using AI.
